My Sister in this House
Based on an historical incident, Kesselman's award-winning
play explores the multifaced, twisted world of women immersed in the
strict class system of France in the 1930's. An intriguing work of
drama and a brilliant challenge for this year's Director's Circle team.

Warp
When Chicago's legendary Organic Theatre premiered the WARP TRILOGY to race reviews; it was outed as the "world's first science-fiction epic adventure play in serial form". It was STAR WARS meets FLASH GORDON-- audiences were delighted. We will feature "Episode1: My Battlefield...My Body" with all its mind-bending, time-shifting, world-changing fun.
High School Premiere!
Ah, Wilderness!
The kids are in love, the parents are in the way, and temptation is in the air. Maybe much hasn't changed since 1906. Eugene O'Neill, American's first Modern playwright, shifts from his usual dark style to tell the tale of young love in this charming romantic comedy. It's easy to see why he is still considered the best.
World Festival of One-Act Plays
A festival of short plays focusing on international themes. This student-directed festival will explore various cultures, their art, and their people in sets of funny, moving, meaningful plays. The One-Acts are always a surprise--anything could happen.

Musical Theatre Showcase
Students try their hand at the canon of musical theatre literature, from classic to contemorary--some of them for the very first time. Come see the budding talent-- featuring the advanced acting classes. Maybe we'll discover the next American Idol!
RENT
Jonathan Larson's exploration of bohemian New York in the 80's-- loosely adapted from the opera LA BOHEME-- explores the AIDS crisis and the people it then impacted most. When RENT first hit Broadway, pundits exclaimed it was responsible for introduing a whole generation to the theatre! The popular 2005 film version seemed to have solidified this counter-culture mega-hit's place in mainstream America.

Winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Drama
The Merry Wives of Windsor
Human foibles, seduction, mistaken identity, trickery and lots of laughs... this delightful Shakespearen comedy has it all. This is the only comedy Shakespeare set in England, and his talents are an obvious fit for this satire of the goings on in small town Elizabethan England-- a topic he must have known like the back of his hand.
